SUMMARY:
This role serves as the liaison between our operations (office) and warehouse teams to ensure successful and efficient freight movement. Communication will also involve receiving updates and ETA’s from the airlines / carriers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Check status / ETA with airline and truck drivers
• Provide ETA’s to warehouse team in a timely fashion
• Check arrivals with airline and ensure freight is cleared to be released
• Enter terminal fee costs and other relevant data into company system
• Pay terminal fees as required for freight release
• Work closely with operations team (office) and warehouse team to move freight effectively after arrival
• Communicate with airline and representatives via phone call and email as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1+ year of freight forwarding experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Word / Outlook
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Extremely detail oriented and well organized
• Must be a team player, while also able to work independently
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Great customer service skills (phone call and email)
